The Alabama Nature Journal Club unites creatives and naturalists of all backgrounds and experience levels, cultivating a vibrant community dedicated to documenting and celebrating Alabama’s diverse natural spaces. Whether it’s in backyard oases or the majestic Sipsey Wilderness, we promote collaboration, environmental stewardship, and artistic expression that enriches our understanding and appreciation of the natural world around us.

Every two weeks, we hold 3-hour virtual “draw nights” via Zoom to socialize and work on our projects. This is a great place to get feedback or explore new techniques!
Each month, we venture to one of Alabama’s captivating trails and gardens. This is a great way to practice field drawing/writing and connect with others.
