There's more!

You might be wondering,
what exactly is nature journaling?

Nature journaling is a multidisciplinary practice that involves documenting and creatively exploring the natural world through various forms of artistic expression, such as visual arts, writing, and scientific observation.

Our Inspiration:

Our club is inspired by the work and outreach errorts of John Muir Laws, a renowned advocate for nature journaling. Learn more about him and his work at https://johnmuirlaws.com/.

Who We Serve:

Our community embraces individuals of all ages and skill levels, making it the perfect environment for anyone interested in nature journaling. Whether you are seeking a more consistent practice, are eager to participate in social creative sessions, or looking to form meaningful connections with fellow nature enthusiasts and creatives, our club provides an inclusive space for everyone to explore and grow together.

What we Provide

As a member of the Alabama Nature Journal Club, you’ll enjoy bi-weekly virtual “draw nights” for chatting and collaborating on art projects. Additionally, we host monthly meet-ups across North Alabama and beyond, where we observe local flora and fauna while capturing nature’s beauty in our journals.
