Hello!
Founder
Laramie started nature journaling during her Ph.D. as a personal wellness habit. It quickly evolved into a passion that she wanted to share with others!
Her favorite way to nature journal is to create engaging infographic spreads, and her favorite medium is a watercolor-pen combo.
I discovered the joy of nature journaling over eight years ago while homeschooling my kids. Since then, I have taught nature journaling to children of all ages, some of whom call themselves adults. I firmly believe nature journaling is something that most everyone can enjoy and benefit from doing, no matter their background or experience. When not teaching nature journaling, I spend my time going on adventures with my family and messing about in boats.
I am a self-taught artist and aspiring naturalist from Huntsville, Alabama. As an Alabama native, I have long appreciated the natural treasures of our state as I have explored and found recreation in the outdoors. I stumbled into nature journaling in 2019 after discovering a book on the topic and have fallen in love in with documenting the beauty I find around me. As a late-blooming artist, I find a special joy in sharing what I have learned with others and hope to teach workshops to both children and adults in the coming months. I live with my husband, four children, and two Golden Retrievers on the same land where I grew up, passing on my love for this beautiful place to the next generation.
